FACULTY MEMBERS WHO JOINED NCU THIS SUMMER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS FACULTY! Dave Lowery, DPA Dr. Lowery joined the NCU School of Business in June 2018 as the new Homeland Security Lead. A recently retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant colonel, Dr. Lowery brings 20 years of active-duty service (1998-2018) in combat communications, cyberspace operations, and human resources. A three-time squadron/unit-level commander and two-time Pentagon action officer, then-Major Lowery served as the Hawaii National Guard's civil defense "island commander" for the Island of Kauai and deployed as the deputy commander of Joint Task Force-American Samoa, a rapid-response humanitarian support operation in the South Pacific, in September and October of 2009. His last military assignment was as the Air Force's National Security Emergency Preparedness (AFNSEP) Directorate's executive officer at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. In this role, he directly supported the resourcing of the Air Force's continuous air defense and defense support of civil authorities (DSCA) missions across the continental United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. An eighth-generation Floridian, Dr. Lowery and his family reside in Panama City, FL, on the Gulf of Mexico. Randee L. Sanders, DMgt Dr. Sanders (Dr. Randee, as she prefers) is the Founder and CEO of RL Sanders & Associates. She is a professor, women's leadership strategist, and speaker who has an affinity for helping highly ambitious professional women advance into positions of leadership and influence. Dr. Randee consults with women leaders to help them establish a strong sense of self, their "voice," and new strategies to develop effectiveness, influence, talent and power to lead. She also delights in consulting with organizations to identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness. Dr. Randee is passionate about educating the next generation of leaders in both higher education and business. She enjoys creating positive energy, passion, and transforming peoples' lives. Her favorite mantras are: "if you stay ready, you don't have to get ready" and "this life is mine!" She strives to be an example for her daughter in all that she does.
