• The Senate is engaged in strategic planning for the upcoming Senate year. We
want to hear from you about ways the Senate can support you in your work!
• In collaboration with the University Diversity Committee, the Senate is using the
Inclusive Excellence framework as part of our strategic planning.
• The Senate continues to prioritize ways to increase our accessibility to faculty,
emphasizing transparency and access. Our projects this year will include the
development of a Faculty Senate Best Practices Handbook.
• Engaging part-time faculty remains of particular importance. NCU earned a
Delphi award and $15,000 grant to recognize excellence in part-time faculty
engagement; this award was based on work by the Life of the Adjunct Task Force.
• The Senate will be forming a Part-Time Faculty Subcommittee to consider the
distinct needs of part-time faculty.
