NCU Strategic Plan
Our blueprint for the next five years will be released in early 2021. The strategic plan will
guide our decision-making and help NCU grow in a mission-driven direction. Thank you
to everyone for their participation in this important process.
Reaffirmation of Accreditation
WSCUC will finalize NCU's reaffirmation of accreditation outcome (including the number
of years granted) at the next Commission meeting, scheduled for February of 2021. We
hope to receive the final outcome by mid-March, and we will communicate the outcome to
the NCU community shortly thereafter.
New Centers
PACE to Launch in January
The Center for Professional and Continuing Education, or PACE, will provide current,
relevant, on-demand continuing education. Courses will be developed by NCU faculty.
Look for a preview of PACE after the new year, with the free course "Self-Care in the Age
of COVID-19."
VESC to Launch in February
The mission of the Virtual Education Support Center, or VESC, is to increase educational
equity by improving virtual teaching and learning. VESC will connect educators, students,
caregivers, and communities to high-quality training and resources for K-12 and higher
education.
CAVO Continues to Expand Its Offerings and Expertise
Beginning in 2021, CAVO will host a visiting expert every quarter to share insights,
