Regional accreditation by WSCUC provides assurance to the public, especially prospective students, that an institution has been found to meet WSCUC's clearly stated requirements and criteria and there are reasonable grounds for believing that it will continue to meet them. Accreditation provides both public certification of acceptable institutional quality and an opportunity and incentive for self-improvement in the accredited institution. CHEA reviews organizations on recognition standards, including academic quality and accountability. ACCREDITATION COUNCIL FOR BUSINESS SCHOOLS AND PROGRAMS (ACBSP) Northcentral's Business Administration programs in the School of Business are accredited by ACBSP. As a leading accreditation association for business education, ACBSP "develops, promotes, and recognizes best practices that contribute to continuous improvement of business education". The Association emphasizes the importance of "learning how to learn," by balancing teaching and research activities to enhance the quality of classroom instruction and contribute to student learning.
