I am frequently amazed and invigorated by our students' commitment to educational pursuits while managing multiple life priorities such as full-time careers and family." – Sharon Kimmel As a full-time faculty member in the School of Business, Sharon Kimmel is a full professor, Dissertation Chair, and Academic Reader. Prior to coming to NCU five years ago, Sharon has held administrative positions primarily within the health care industry. She served at Lehigh Valley Health Network in roles of Director, Oncology Clinical Trials and Tumor Registry; Director, Resident Research; and Senior Research Scientist. She also served at Lehigh University's College of Business as Business Communications Program Director and in the role of Administrative Contact and Student Liaison for the MS Management of Technology program. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in research, business and health care at Lehigh University, Muhlenberg College, and Penn State College of Medicine. Sharon holds a PhD in Applied Social Research with a track in Management of Technology from Lehigh University (2000), an MS in Health and Human Resources from the University of Scranton (1985), and a BS in Community Health Education and Sociology from University of Texas at San Marcos (1980). She also earned an Advanced Study Certification in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (Drexel University, 2006), certification as a Clinical Research Professional (Society of Clinical Research Associates, Inc., 2009), and certification in Project Management (Project Management Institute, 2013).
